Posted By Robert K Lewis In the midst of another posting I made a suggestion for a debate at the next conference born in the Oxford Union style. I want to see an attention seeking motion such as "This house believes that Safety Practitioners are their own worst enemy" what do people think or will this vanish without trace into a sea of indifference? Posted By J Knight I'm not sure what I think as I'm currently not talking to myself and ;-) Good idea in my view, John

Posted By Andrew Böber I think the notion would actually make for an interesting IOSH event or series of events - held either at Oxford or Cambridge (we have members in both I am sure of it). A good couple of guest speakers. Perhaps even Clarkson himself - in which case Brunel would be a much better location (and they even have a whole post-grad OHU dept). AJRB

Posted By Robert K Lewis I understand Jeremy requires a trifling amount!! for him anyway before he will make an appearance. I think finding the witnesses will be the most difficult part. Bob

Posted By Andrew Böber Certainly if IOSH were to approach the Oxbridge instituions I am sure that such an open forum event would be easily bought into. In fact, I would strongly endorse it.
