Posted By Alias Hi all, I know I should know this but I just want to double check and google isn't being helpful today. We're getting contractors on our site to do some roof work, I know I need RA, SSW etc. and to tell them of our risks, systems, etc., but what proof of insurance do I need to get, I know I need proof of Public liability insurance in case that hurt one of my employees or a member of the public, is that it, or should I be demanding proof of his Employer's liability insurance? What about proof of Professional Indeminity Insurance? Any clarification would be much appreciated, thanks for your time. Emma.

Posted By lewes As a contractor for many large building contractors we are usually asked for: - Risk Assessments - Method Statements - COSHH Data Sheets - H&S Policy or at least have it on file - Public & Employers Liability Insurance (if they actually employ & if they use sub-contractors) - Professional Indemnity is normally only for design elements of our works so may not apply.
