Posted By Damien Nation i would place a guess that if it is big project or in an area which may have poor access. that he or she may be wored about fire hazard or poor ventilation while working also an audit may look at the electricty wether it would be safe for the contractors to use and if there would be any negative aspects the the work may have on your company or vise versa. the main reason proble is that he may what to cover him self by geting you to carry out the audit. if i may suggest carry out an audit and next time you see him disscus the matter. but just think you will have it done for next month

Audits of this nature are usually undertaken as either a) A vetting process prior to conmtract award or b) A requirement of an ongoing contract for periodic review. Option (b) seems unlikely on the facts given so I am still puzzled at the involvement Bob
