I have just received a Christmas circular from a well established parts supplier - the flyer advertises breath alcohol testing kits. The text explains how reliable and effective this equipment is in measuring breath alcohol levels “In line with legal requirements within the Health and safety Work Act 1974, Transport and work Act1992 and EC Directive.”
I am not aware of any legal requirements within the HSAW 1974 with regards to breath alcohol limits, (please correct me if I am wrong). I am not familiar enough with the Transport and Work act 1992 or EC directives.
I may be completely wrong on this but would welcome others comments.

I spotted this as well this morning. Doesn't look as good as the electronic ones... I remember (about 20yrs ago) when my local pub installed an electronic alcometer (?) and we all had great fun trying to see who could get the highest score! I seem to remember a mouthful of jack daniels was quite high on the list! Mmmm, it's Friday isn't it ;-)
