I need a supplier who can provided light wands/batons like those use for marshalling aircraft at night.

The reason beinf is os that I can provide emergency back up in case of electric/lighting failure on own sites, and/or poor on site lighting at customers premises/sites and our banksmen still need to reverse/manoeuvre vehicles.

I don't like providing free advertising for the major chains; so all I will say is that most of the serious trade providers carry something similar.

I have looked in some of the major supplier catalogues, but the only light wands/batons I can find are the emergency 'break' ones. What I am after is a more robust type similar to those used for aircraft marshaling.

Have you tried ringing your local airport, try to get through to the safety department and I am sure they will be able to help.

Good outdoor pursuits shops will stock an array of clip on covers and lens filters for the maglite type torches. The ones that you are looking for are approximately 6" long - On the end of a four cell maglite these are very effective for marshalling purposes.

Beauty of these is that the torch is still a torch - Simply clip off the cover and reclip to replace.

(tongue in cheek) why not try toy stores and the Lightsabers?

Sorry, couldn't resist. I'll go back into my box now...

Lightsabers should only be used by a competent Jedi or Dark Side operative as inapproriate use can cause serious injury (as can appropriate use, come to think of it...)

Plus, they only come in blue, red, green or purple, [though yellow exists in the extended SW universe - just not in the films].

Yes, I am a fanboy that owns a Qui-Gonn Jinn lightsabre.

No, I do not dress up as a Jedi at weekends, I'm no geek!

My point was, lightsabre colour choice is limited... I think!

Many thanks for all your inputs.

For those of you who are 'consultants' for the Jeddi Knights, "may the forced rhubarb be with you".

Unlike English Grammar one has to correct the freakies of the outer parts of the universe.

"The point I think, light sabre color choice limited it is"

Cooks too many spoil broth they do!!!!!
