Posted By Ralph219 Hi Caroline, I work in Telecoms in a H&S role and we frequently have engineers out lone working so I know of some of the problems. We ensure that the engineers carry 2 mobile phones, for different networks, and phone in upon their arrival onto site, they also either phone in or are phoned, every hour depending on the duration of the job. They phone in finally upon the job completion and safe egress from site. Some of our sites, however, because of remoteness or height, are designated no lone working. I hope this helps you, you can e-mail me if you have any further questions, I can be contacted at ext-ralph.small@nokia.com
