Hello all,

I have recently been asked to carry out the planning supervisor's role on an in-house project. To do this I need a standard form of contract planning supervisors use.

Is anyone able to help me with this?

Thanks in anticipation.

You could try the Association of Project Safety (formally Association of Planning Supervisors)www.aps.org.uk they have some standard forms for planning supervisors to use.

Hi Vicky

The Royal Institute of Architects of Ireland publish a preminary safety and health plan which is useful as a template. It gives a very good outline of the risks/ areas that need to be examined.

We produce a Preliminary Safety and Health plan which is handed to the Project Supervisor Construcion Stage/ Principal Contractor. The index being as follows;

1/. General & Particular risks.
2/. PSCS/ Principal Contractor Function.
3/. Documents required from the PSCS/ Principal Contractor.
4/. Method Statements.
5/. Safety Plan/ File.
6/. Liasion with Project Supervisor Design Stage/ Planning Supervisor.
7/. Action Lists.

(Project Supervisor Design and Construction Stages are terms under Irish legislation).

The Safety File for the end user is also the responsiblity of the Planning Supervisor.

I hope this is of some help to you Vicky.

Jerry

Hi Vicky, i act as a planning supervisor on many projects for small and large clients, if i can be of any help i will, just drop me a line and we can have a chat.

I can let you have a document template for your pre construction health and safety plan.

There a a lot of areas where who does what needs to be agreed early on, the word 'ensure' figures a lot in the PS duties, you need to establish who does what early on.

Good luck and as i say i am only too willing to help.

Regards, Mal
