That's easy!
DSE = Dreary Scottish Evening Control = Stay inside; soak up the atmosphere (Woh!) and slip into a (false) sense of security - until the next time!
Best wishes

Posted By Ken Taylor Does this mean that you won't be moderating up until the 25th or that you've signed off until Jan 3rd?
With best wishes.

For your information, the Moderating Team like the Windmill Theatre never close. We will be looking at your comments (Wives and Partners permitting) throughout the festive season.
Have a good time, one and all!

Posted By Ken Taylor The word 'Christmas' has been formed from two words: 'Christ' and 'Mass' in order to give a name to a church festival to celebrate the incarnation of deity. 'Christ' is based on a Greek word and equates with the Hebrew word now often writen as 'Messiah'. The word 'Mass' is given to a practice of the RC and some other churches involving the consumption of bread and wine (or their representations) and is based upon the biblical event known as 'the Lord's Supper' held at the time of the Passover in which followers of Jesus (from the Greek) or Y'shua (from the Hebrew) are asked to repeat the practice in remembrance.
Presumably Hebrew Christians and Messianic Jews will have a term that they use for the 25th December festival.
Whatever we choose to celebrate and in whatever language we do so, we can, at least, wish each other well now and for the coming year.
