Posted By J McPartland I am doing a risk assesment on some loading bays. The bays are the old type where the trailer is backed into the bay and the deck is at the same level as the floor. When there is no trailers in the bays there is about a metre drop. Has any boby come across any barriars that can be arected quickly and also taken down.

Posted By gham seen curtains in use,
Could you use chains or webbing like the cargo straps. Fix them to points inside the trailer and in the side of the loading bay door with a tentioning or ratchet device. If you had the anchor points you could use the actual cargo straps or buy purpose made this should work from smaller gaps

Posted By Pete Walker You could try one of the system edge protection companies that are now on the market.
easi-edge.co.uk I think is their web address or search easi edge on google. This system will enable you to remove only the sections you need to at the time.
