Safety Inspection Checklist for a Factory Environment
Rank: Guest
|
Posted By Steve99Jones Hi All I've been asked at very short notice (tomorrow) to carry out a safety inspection of a newly established factory. I'm away from the office at the moment and do not have access to my files so I was hoping that someone may be able to email me a copy of their safety inspection checklist. I'm happy to do it without one, but always find it more useful and structured to have a checklist/audit system in place where possible. Any help would be appreciated. Kind regards Steve steve99jones@yahoo.co.uk

Posted By Merv Newman Sorry, but I can't understand why you, as apparantly a consultant, either need some kind of hard copy checklist or don't have it in the car or on the portable computer.
How long have you been doing this ?

Posted By Steve99Jones Many thanks to Rod and the others have have responded off-forum - your assistance and support is truly appreciated.
Merv - it is disappointing that some so called professionals are so sceptical and cannot identify a genuine request. I am a Chartered Civil Engineer, Chartered Environmentalist and a Chartered Safety and Health Practitioner, and have been doing the job for over 20 years. Due to the very short notice given to me by a very good client, I have not had the opportunity to transfer the relevant information from my desktop to my laptop - hence my request.
Also as I stated in the original post, I am happy to do this without a checklist, but I find the structure of a checklist helpful. It is disappointing that so called professionals assume that such an innocent and honest request is bombarded with scepticism and assumptions of 'rogue traders' (see thread "Cant be bothered or just CAN'T").
I am annoyed that some people use this as a moaning forum, and as has been said in the past, if you do not have anything constructive to offer, do not bother responding at all.
Steve

Posted By Dave Wilson Steve as your post was 'posted' after mine it was to say the least a bit unfortunate or coincidence.
Now are you going to reimburse the people who have sent you stuff so you can make money! No I would presume and that's fair as you have intimated the rationale behind the why and what for request.
What I am getting at is the deliberate attempt to get freelaoding info from others who have put time and effort into something and then give in good faith and the person recieving it knowing it will be used not as the contributor intended.

Posted By Dave Wilson Apologies it wasn't posted before you, but the post was not targeted at you or anyone in particular for that matter.
your posting did not and does not ring my alarm bells but some do on this forum.
