Dear All,

My company has decided that the best way to go about noise assessment is to purchase a assessment meter and carry out the measurements in house.

Therefore we need training in noise measurement.

Can anyone recommend a good training provider who specialises in noise assessment and measurement.

Thank you in anticipation,

Regards,

Ken Chappell

How about the BOHS module 104. Details here: http://www.bohs.org/reso..._list_2005_2006_0912.pdf which gives course dates and providers.

I did the Institute of Acoustics (IOA) competent workplace noise assessor certificate at the EEF in Sheffield. I found it very good. The logarithmic calculations are a bit heavy and took a bit of getting used to, but were (reasonably) straight forward towards the end of the week. We had a mock practical session in a foundry and did the exam practical in a factory making hip joints! Real practical experience coupled with thorough underpinning knowledge.

Contact the IOA for a list of providors.
