Posted By Dave Jackson Hello all I am not a safety professional (just an enthusiastic Safety Rep) but would like some help from those that are. I work in the Paper making industry and have been told that there are some new rules regarding the safeguarding of conveyors, particulaly emergency stop arrangements. I have tried to found the information relating to this but so far to no avail. Can anyone help? Dave Jackson

Posted By Mike Draper BS EN 618:2002 and BS EN 620:2002 Both standards are for the safety aspects of bulk conveying systems, although the latter standard is specifically for fixed belt conveyors. Both are available from BSI.

Posted By Frank Hallett Hi Dave You could also get access to a copy of L22 - PUWER and the excellent BSI publication PD5304 of which the 2005 edition is the latest. Frank Hallett
