Please can somebody help.
I had mamaged to get many H&S links i.e EHO accident investigation, photo's, share powerpoint presentations,loads of them.

I use a small, but very helpful and responsive company called Whitebarn who did the very same for me a couple of years ago. Last week I lost a total of 3 computers, 1 to worms and the other 2 to serious software conflicts which lead to all data being lost, and I mean everthing!!! disserations, essays, policy procedures, yes luckerly i did have backups but a few months out of date so so0me serious stuff gone. dont see that in the dse regs. Thanks for the infoe, will give them a bell next week.

You seriously have my sympathy Jonathon.
The real issue is that either the lost info was already in the public domain [in which case it's just a redious task to regain that info]; or, the real problem for you or anyone else - is that it was personalised to your clientele and your way of presenting information etc.
A very clear object lesson to us all and it should also be a graphic lesson to many smaller independants. It's certainly giving me some thoughts about how I retrieve info if things go wrong.
For the benefit of us all, do you know which "worm" and/or software conflicts brought this about?

Hi
I have just got one of those little external hard drives - 40 meg for £50 - about the size of a PDA. I'm not of the technical nature, but with plug n play have managed to put a lot of data onto it as a portable back up. Not bad.
