Posted By Melanie Harrison I am aware that this has recently been on the forum but would appreciate further clarification re fixed ladders (with hoops) under the WAH Regs are further control measures mandatory eg fall arrest system has to be in place also to minimise the consequences should a fall occur?

Posted By Salus Melanie, you will need to risk assess it and apply / consider what is "reasonably practicable". do you need to use it /is there an alternative route / who uses it /how high is it / when (weather)is it used / how often is it used

Posted By Ron Hunter Presumably this fixed ladder is being used only as a means of access and not as any sort of working platform? If so, I suggest that any further fall protection is way beyond the realms of reasonable practicability
