What colour does the painted wheelchair have to be on the ground that denotes that it is a disabled car parking space - is it yellow as in some supermarkets or blue?

Refer to The Traffic Signs Regulations and General Directions 2002.

As I understand it paint markings should be either white, yellow or red. The use of red appears to be restricted to red routes.
White is used for most purposes but yellow seems common for parking restrictions, but I haven't read this to be able to say for sure what the exact requirements are.

We bought a template and yellow spray paint so we could paint our own.. Not sure if you needed that info but...
