Posted By James Hunter Hi,
Sorry if this is covered in detail elsewhere but I couldn't find anything except one post mentioning that COSHH might apply to above equipment. Anyway my question is, are there any requirements for cleaning phones and computers and could someone point me to them if so. Even if not I would also appreciate any advice regarding cleaning schedules, ie what is an appropiate schedule for monitors, comp. cases, keyboard, mice, phone handsets etc. Sorry if this seems like a lot but I've just started work at a new business, they've asked me to research this and I know nothing!!
Regards, James Hunter

Posted By Lorraine Shuker Most stationery suppliers have sanitising wipes. This is a simple solution in that you give each person a tub and they can be used on everything; phone, keyboard, screen, etc
I recommend weekly cleaning to those with a permenant workstation location and daily for those that hot desk.
The advntage with giving the responsbility to the user is that to get cleaning firms to do this you need clear desks for them to work on or if they do clear a desk to clean it the people moan that thy don't put things back in the right place.
Suprising the nasties that can build up in keyboard and on phones
