Hi Guys, I have posted this in the Studysupport Forum, would like to request in this busy forum too.
Hello Forum users I wonder if any of you could be kind enough to help out with my dissertation on the below my hypotheses is,
• That MH is a major source of injury in the Construction Industry
• That many instances of MH injury go unreported on site
• That MH is not a risk that is effectively managed in the Construction Industry
• That the opportunities for injury through MH are not effectively Communicated in the Construction Industry
• That there is a lack of awareness of the effects of poor MH techniques on site
Whilst I have access to RR097, CRR 267/20000 and RR228, there seems to be a bit of a shortage of free information available. So if any of you have any access to or know where I can obtain some of the following the read around the above issues I would be eternally grateful.
What I need is any Lit Review and Research, any Statistics, Journals and case law, concerning Manual Handling, as always if I can help my fellow forum users out I will anytime.
Regards
Brian

For us to help we need to have a clearer picture of what you intend - You have stated five assumptions some or all of which may be valid but there is not a working hypothesis here. I think you need to discuss this further with your tutor.
My impression is that you are attemting to state that "The proper management of MH in construction work is inhibited by the lack of adequate information and poor communication"
The thoughts you have proposed require extensive on site research and I doubt that it is achievable in your probable time scales. Could I suggest you narrow your focus down to the quality of advice offered.
Having said that this is not my research interest so others can probably provide some resources.

Many Thanks Robert, you are quite right, they are all assumptions that I need to back up with qualifications.
If I cannot do this adequately then I will have to try something else which will have enough discussion to address the issues raised.
Many thanks
Brian

Many Thanks Anthony,
What I need are Journals and discussion papers to either refute or back up the points that I made earlier.
