May be restricted to those with experience in the domestic gas industry
Does anyone have an example of a work at height risk assessment for flue installations, etc.
The scope may well differ depending on house types, whether the flue is installed through a wall or through the roof, the height of the building itself (2 storey, 3 storey, tenement block, etc), the options go on and on!
Any assistance would be appreciated

Hi Alexander, there is a heirachhy of measures to follow when assessing WAH.
make sure work is planned and supervised(supervision, very important) / make sure you select the appropriate equipment to prevent falls, in your instance maybe towers or cherry picker would be OK. Depending on the height you are working at,what would happen if an operative fell?, how long are employees going to be working there?,include any emergency provisions for rescue,be aware of the employees capability to WAH,then carry out your risk assessment identifying all significant risks putting in reasonable controls to bring the risk down to an acceptable level.Ensure all understand, know their responsibilities and know what to do, ask yourself would you work from that platform. Supervise the work closely then if you erect a working platform you may have to inspect it at regular intervals, enclose your work area and be aware of children in the properties and gaining access to any area of work you have control of.

Salus, I am aware of the heirarchy of controls in place and what to do, etc
I am really struggling to utilise my existing proforma risk assessments for work at height, thus needing to redesign the whole format - I was hoping to see if others had similar problems and how they overcame this.
