Posted By Jonathan Breeze You're probably best going direct to the supplier to prevent getting incorrect information. Solder is probably fairly generic, but floor adhesive could have anything in and is more likely to be brand specific.

Posted By Frank Macleod bj, A CoSHH sheet can only be produced after you have carried out a risk assessment for the use of the substance, where its used (i.e open air or enclosed space) duration of use, who will be affected by its use, exposure to substance etc etc. It is not advisable to use a generic CoSHH assessment for all tasks that the substance may be used for, as the hazards and risks will vary from task to task. Have a look at the ACOP and you will get good guidance in carrying out a CoSHH assessment. Hope this is of some use to you. Regards Frank

Posted By Jonathan Breeze Here's a few links to Material Safety Data Sheets for Solder that are available online: http://www.indium.com/techlibrary/msds.php http://www.almit.co.uk/almit_uk/uk_data.htm Like Frank says, you'll have to do the COSHH Assessment yourself based on your research. Your suppliers Technical Department should be able to give you loads of advice though & is the best place to start.

Posted By Daniel Stonehouse I think this is a common problem - some suppliers will send Technical Data Sheets out to you when you ask for MSDS and vice versa, COSHH sheets should be made up in conjunction with the k Msds ans Technical Data sheets, and form part of the RA (i think, though it is all a little woolly, it is friday afternoon after all).
