Can anyone out there point me in the right direction for a (easyish) guide for calculating the fire loads of an office - to include the decorative coverings and furnishings?

Al, to get the information I think you require I don't believe there is an easyish guide, however you could try BS7974 Part 1. The SFPE Handbook is also very useful but very technical and, even worse, very expensive.

What the rest of your fire risk assessment looking like? is the assessment for indoor or outdoor works?
