Regulatory Reform (Fire Safety Order) 2005 comes into force 31/10/2006

On the ODPM website its been confirmed that the above legislation will come into force in England & Wales this October.
Fire risk assessments (in a slightly different format) will continue to be carried out, and at that time Fire Certificates will no longer have any legal force.

Derek,
Your post states that the RRO will come into force on 31/10/06 however the press statement from the ODPM says that it will come into force on 01/10/06.

Jonathan - Thanks for that, you've just brightened my day.....
However, if this is now due in October, doesn't that give them until mid July to publish the guidance?
