Posted By k murphy We have a Clerk of Works who visits and inspects civil engineering sites. He has developed a hearing impediment and wears a hearing aid. He is not exposed to high levels of noise and PPE is provided for when he conducts site vists. His hearing impediment does affect his normal day to day activities. Is there anything further that we need to do other than let him continue with his duties as before? Your guidance would be greatly appreciated.

Posted By Zyggy Turek Although you say that he is not exposed to high levels of noise, could he find himself in a situation where he is unable to hear verbal warnings? In this case I would seek clarification from your Occ. Health Department & probably carry out an audiometric test just to make sure.
