hi
just wondering whether any one knows of any cobblers or such like who can make 'bespoke' safety boots (north yorkshire area) We've got a potential problem with an employee who may be unable to wear 'traditional' safety footwear in a newly assessed ppe area of our manufacturing site.

from here can't help you with names and addresses, but we once supplied an employee with Doc Martens which, while not CE marked, were in our opinion, adequate for the exposure. (opinions documented and we dropped a X Kilogramme(can't remember the standard test weight/height. Is it 10 K from 1 meter ?) on them. With before and after photos in the file)
That was one delighted skin head.

By the way if i rember the cost is quite high some where in the £300 bracket for first pair as a last has to be made after that 1st pair cost droped to around £150 £200.
Take note CE marked safty boots only go to size 13. The USA have larger sizes up to UK size 15 but i have never found any with CE mark.
