All,
We have a maintenance contractor permanently based on our site working for us. We look after his welfare, PPE etc and he follows our procedures and working practices. The contract company who employs the contractor now wish to inspect our premises and facilities. What would people expect from such an inspection in the way of supply of information and paperwork etc,
thanks for your attention
Phil

Why not just ask them, so that you can put aside the amount of time they need and have any documentation they want to hand?
These might be statutory documents - risk assessments - work procedures - permits to work - emergency procedures - induction and other training records - records of PPE issue / maintenance.

Phil,
I have occassionally suffered these "inspections", and quite often they are little more than a simple walk round the premises and a wander through assessment records. I have found it useful to have a "new" set of eyes look at the workplace, and have gained some useful contacts as a result.
However, the easiest way to find out is to ring up the person coming to see you and chat about what they like to see.

I guess you've already inspected their systems or are you just baby sitting their employees?
I wouldn't worry too much - they want the business don't they?
As others have said - ask them what they are looking for. I would have imagined that they will already know a great deal of your H&S system/procedures etc before they came to work on your site anyway.
