Hi, I was wondering if anyone had had any experience with the following situation. A construction company has to inspect/clean brick work on house builds prior to client handover. They have had a man riding cage/skip constructed and certified that attaches to the front of their jcb 532-129 Loadall.

Operatives are only in this device for a few minutes but I don’t like it. I have read this months SHP and there is a similar situation explained.

At the end of the day my feelings are that a cherry picker would be a much better choice of machine. If anyone has any advice or experience regarding this matter then it would be much appreciated.

I think HSE Guidance Note PM28 mentions the use of this equipment, but a MEWP would be much better and safer choice. It would also be preffered by the HSE.

Danny,

Thankyou very much for your quick response. I have just downloaded the GN you told me about. It says exactly what i wanted it too.

Cheers,

Jim
