Posted By osh Hi all, I am just wondering whether anyone has an ‘introduction or modification of office equipment’ procedure which they wouldn’t mind letting me have a look at or able to point me to a site which has one available. Also does anyone have an ‘Office emergency equipment’ procedure?.... I find its much easier looking at other pre-developed procedures before jumping in the deep end and creating your own. Thanks in advance for your help!

Posted By Kate Graham What on earth is an office emergency equipment procedure? I think you need to be more specific. Kate

Posted By osh Office emergency equipment covers many things and is quite likely the same equipment which many non office work sites/environments would include. The equipment could consist of: Oxygen and oxygen delivery devisers / Respirators Defibrillators Thermal blankets Flash lights (and batteries) First aid kits I don’t see why it couldn’t also cover fire extinguishers, fire hose reals, sprinklers, wheel chairs and so forth? I am therefore considering developing a procedure for this (we seem to have a procedure for nearly everything else) I guess the reason why we would use the word 'office' is because our sites are so diverse and would include additional emergency management equipment and would need a separate procedure. Does that clarify anything or are you simply wondering why we need a procedure for this?

Posted By Kate Graham I don't see why you would want to have a single procedure for such diverse equipment. Who is going to consult the procedure and for what purpose?

Posted By osh We have around 20 safety advisors in our office so one of them will 'consult' the procedure... Due to being such a big company we seem to have procedures for everything. One person will be in charge of the procedure and making sure all of our floors comply with it.

Posted By osh I have no idea who Marky is and obviously I'm not explaining myself well enough so I will leave it at that for this subject. Fortunately I know how to write a procedure, just thought I would make some discussion and see what others had done! Thanks anyway!
