Posted By songwriter hi all, i work in a company which deals with various residues of chemicals everyday, we used to get health surveillance but it seems to have stopped 3 years ago. As the safety rep how do i go about advising my company that we require this to continue by law and supposing they do nothing about it. Thanks

Posted By Chris Packham Try referring them to the appropriate section in the COSHH Regulations and the ACoP. Where skin is potentially exposed to chemicals, this is also dealt with in MS24 (Medical Aspects of Occupational Skin Diseases). The message in both is quite clear. If there is a potential for damage to health to occur and they do not have monitoring in place, then they will be in breach of COSHH and, should there be a problem, could find themselves in considerable hot water.
