Posted By micheal walne i have just left the r a f and just joined in partniship with my brother in law in his building firm i have got iosh in management while in r a f and wondering wether i can use this qualification in our new work place

Posted By Tony Brunskill r a f, Depends on the role you are going to undertake and the activities of the company. If you are going to be the "safety advisor" I would suggest a higher level qualification than the Managing Safely. Regards Tony

Posted By micheal walne i served 23 yrs and took redundcy this spring we have been approched by a company to carry out maintenace in their factory we have health and safty in place but they are asking to join a contractors safty scheme one of these are iosh or cs cs or spa like i say i have my iosh certificate and number thanks for replies at moment tho mike

Posted By Dave Wilson This IOSH Managing Safely is not worth the paper it is written on as far as CSCS or SPA goes, even if you are CMIOSH etc you still are required to do the CSCS etc. Best to get the CSCS as its cheap and very easy.
