A group in one of our depts needs to get occasional access to a device mounted on the ceiling at about 2.9m. The work is fairly fiddly and involves connecting some flexible ducting from the top of other equipment at about 2.5m height. This set-up is in 3 different laboratories on different floors.

They are looking for a suitable mobile access platform. They do not have much width to manoevre in - less than 1m width of "corridor" between benches.

Can anyone recommend a platform that is (a) not too heavy, (b) not too expensive (of course!) (c) does the job safely?

BTW - yes, I did tell them it shouldn't have been mounted on the ceiling! Due to the nature of the room and all the equipment in it we are stuck with this configuration.

Would be grateful for equipment recommendations with approximate cost and supplier details.
