Posted By Merv Newman Thanks to those who have sent me material. I've now got lots of ideas for adapting what I had (police and fire brigades) to the situation I now have (maintenance workers) I promise that there will not be any direct steals (rem : steal from one source and it's plagiarism. Two sources = research. Three sources = deep research and requires a government grant. Four or more sources = metaresearch and requires CE approval)(and grant) (application in the post) but the whole project is melding in nicely now. Thanks guys. Sources will be acknowledged in the final presentation. And if anyone wants a copy, just ask. Hope you speak French as well as wot I does. One last (?) beg. Does anyone have a photo of fire brigade in front of a burning building, police confronted with a traffic accident or an ambulance crew in the same sort of situation ? I need to illustrate "sizing up the situation" and have nothing on file. Thanks again (that's going to cost me a few bottles of whiskey. Or would you prefer Nuits St George ?) Merv

Posted By Malcolm Fryer Merv Sorry not to have got back to this subject on the other related thread but I am able to help you. I assisted with the organisation of the IOSH East Anglia Branch Seminar called “Heath and safety in balance”. We had superb speakers including Terry Larkowsky of the Norfolk Fire Service who covered “dynamic risk assessment in dangerous situations”. His presentation had all the pictures that you require. Terry is stationed at Great Yarmouth and should be contactable through the service. I do have a copy of his presentation but for obvious reasons would not send it to you. I hope that this will assist you in your research. Malcolm

Posted By AlB Firstly, I do wonder if Merv is a bit loopy. Secondly, Merv - I'd like to see anything that you may come up with, because I reckon it'll be pretty good, and as I work in a heavy industry with a number of hazards and relatively high risk on occasion, anything that I can research from others and which may be of worth for our business is valuable. Cheers!!!
