Posted By lewes I am after some example Noise Assessment reports so I can ascertain what I need to and not to include in a report. Can anyone kindly provide me with a real example (not just a blank template) of an actual workplace noise assessment. It will be used solely for information purposes so confidentially isnt a problem. I hope someone can assist.

Posted By Patrick Phillips Lewes I have been carrying out simple sound tests of all of our tools and equipment on our sites where we are sub-contractors in plastering, dry lining, tiling, floor screeding and Metsec installers. I visited a total of 24 sites , checked on 9 different types of tools covering approximately 9/10 manufacturers to identify the average noise levels emitted by these pieces of equipment. The surroundings varied from site to site therefore the results are very average and ones that can only indicate potential noise levels. (A full schedule of results was prepared) On 27/02/06 I sent a letter to all staff, operatives and sub-contractors advising them of the forthcoming legislatives changes relating to noise (06/04/06) and the need to take precautions against the reduced action levels relating to noise. I have attempted to gain information from our Principal Contractors on what they were doing about the approaching changes but to date (12/04/06) not a single response. As far as my employer is concerned we have made our checks, found areas of concern, prepared our risk assessment and method statement and informed all operatives. In the event of problems I believe we have covered all bases. If you would like copies of the work carried out you can contact me on 07814076962 Pat.

Posted By lewes Peter It may best that you start a thread requesting the same. Kindly someone has replied to me but they have requested that I do not pass this information onto any other parties and I have to respect their wishes. Sorry to be a party pooper and I am a fan of file/document sharing but I also respect confidentially. Regards
