What do other do re street-lighting and the issues of lone working & live working
When answering please rememnber this is not a factory/construction site nor similar situation where control and co-operation is simple

I think the question is regards to working with live electricity alone in a dark environment. Maybe not but if so the same answer aplies as above. Check the Risk Assessment for the job along with any Policies and Procedures asnd I think you will find that this kind of work requires more than one person. Don't be afraid to ask your Safety or Union Representatives and even Management. Never be afraid to challenge unsafe conditions or behaviours, infact make it your new year resolution, (albeit a little belated). If anything did happen to someone doing this type of work alone, what do you think people would say about him/her if an accident occured? Remember the dead can find it a bit hard to defend themselves but whilst alive they can put up a good show!!!

There was an article in the SHP magazine called "Completing the competency circle" that discussed the implementation of the highways electrical industry model.
