Morning all,
Can any of you clear up a point for me please? We have on our site some spray paint (line marking type) some luminous metal paint and some white spirits. Not a lot in volume, say about a box of the spray line marking paint, a couple of bottles of white spirit and four five litre tins of the luminous.
Am I allowed to put this in a locker out side that is not a specific locker for COSHH or does the locker/storage bin need to be ventilated as in it has slats cut into the item to allow gasses to expel should they build up.
Many thanks
Scott.

I think this is more of a fire question than COSHH (although COSHH would come into play if, for example, there was a leak or spill). Whatever storage you use should be bunded to contain any leaks or spills.

Hi Skooter,
I think in many ways you answered the question yourself, however I would also consider any environmental issues and security issues should kids be able to access the locker and it contents. As Paul stated you might want to consider the Fire Risks as well as the COSHH issues and don't forget to put signage on the locker identifying it as a Paint locker. Remember also to keep other chemicals away from the Paint incase of any chemical reaction.
