I applied for the membership of IOSH and completed my payment on 15/04/2006. But until now I didn't get the confirmation.
Anybody knows how long is our application will be responded after completing the payment? Thanks & regards. Zaen

With the greatest of respect; this is only 6 days. Iosh are very efficient indeed, but I think you should wait just a wee while. As Frank says, if you are concerned give them a call.

did you really mean "sect" ? Is there something they are not telling us about how one gets to be admitted to the higher levels ? I know you have an F. is there a handshake that comes with it ?

I accept that many believe that there are arcane practices involved in the IOSH administration of H&S Merv; but I can only plead that my computer developed a stutter that didn't become evident until the response was posted.
I have yet to be formally initiated as a privy member to the "Inner Sanctum" of the IOSH Membership Services Section [or Department, or whatever the official title is]. [There're those out there wisely shaking their heads and muttering "No Way!"] so I can't comment on the second point.

Hello - I am a little concerned that I have not yet recieved my new membership card following renewal of my subscription. I rang the membership help line but just got throught to a recorded message. I understand there is some backlog with processing these, however I would it be possible if you could at least check and confirm you have my renewel subscription?

I have answered Mr Hall directly. We are behind in our turnround of subscriptions this year as we are implementing new systems, which unfortunately is causing some delay. Please bear with us whilst we rectify the situation. If you sent in your renewal by post, as yet, we have not been able to open all the envelopes which are arriving, although this is now slowing down. This post is in a secure location and is being dealt with as quickly as possible.
