Posted By Descarte Also does anyone know of a likely time that the new first aid training regs will come in, in respect to fresher dates and duration of training. I have seen the consultation and HSE docs but cannot for the life of me see a proposed date. Even a bal park figure from anyone in the know would be appreciated as we have a few up for renewal and people here are very unwilling to go for the 3 day refresher

Posted By Brett Day Essex Ambulance Service do a very good course, and it isn't as expensive as other 'commercial' training providers.

Posted By johnwaterson2773 Hi Keith, have a look at NUCO training.com. They have instructors all over the country and are very, I am one also, and costings are very reasonable. Hope this helps. Regards

Posted By Fred Pratley Hi Keith, We have used a variety of organisations over the years, and my charitable hat says support the red cross, while my safety hat says ambulance services sometimes use paramedics for training, but both will do a more than adequate job.

Posted By Ian Chamberlain Hi Keith, i have worked for a few of those mentioned and attended others!! In London there is only one supplier to go for and thats St John, you gets what you pay for and they are the best value wise. No disrespect to NUCO as i am also NUCO qualified, some of the trainers dont train courses from one year to the next so you have to be careful, and Red Cross, may have been good at once but not professional enough in London, attended a course of theirs and not very good at all, still running OHP's in 2000+ ???
