Hello I have been asked to produce a health & safety manual for an upcoming motor show. As I never comlpeted one of these before I would be grateful for any help or support as how to go about this project.
My company are to exhibit some of their vehicles and any advice about how to go about putting the risk assessments and method statements together would be most welcome. Or could any recommend books to read to help me do this. Thanks very much for your help. Laura

With respect your employers are wrong to request this from you; it is a job best left to a specialist with appropriate indemnity cover.
If you really are sure that you want to do this then start at WWW.hse.gov to get some basic information. My advice however would be one of 'pass this on' unless you have the experience and knowledge to deal with it.
I produce 300 page manuals for clients; it has taken me many many years to build up sufficient knowledge and experience to do this.
I wish you well.

Perhaps we could be of assistance to you. We have been contracted to provide advice etc for an up coming motor show. If it is the same event then why not get in touch. The event I'm referring to is the last two weeks in July.
