I am going to be looking at the above subject in a poultry processing plant at the end of the week and am collating information and guidance to look assist in a risk assessment. I am thereore looking for pointers as to information sources etc - someone who has completed a RA in a processing plant would be helpful to kick things off.
I have visited the DEFRA site for info any other suggestions? Any latest advice other than other previous postings?
What are your thoughts about the transmission routes through mucus membranes -whilst at the slaghter side they usse PP3s - there is no eye protection, what are the risk factors I wonder..
any help would be appreciated --- ok bird jokes are ok too I suppose , brightens the day

Go to the DEFRA web site, they have plenty of information on the subject and should be able to help you.
