Morning all.
This is not an examination question I promise but can you remind me what are the statutory risk assessments that we have to do?
Many thanks,
Malcolm

Malcolm,
In addition to that requried by the Management Regs, there are other Risk Assessments that you may need to undertake including:
- Fire Risk Assessment.
- Manual Handling.
- Work at Heights.
- COSHH.
- Noise.
- Vibration.

Technically there is a legal requiement to risk assess the whole workplace.

Thanks for the replies
so far. I had all those on my list. Martin, I also thought that work at height required risk assessments but the Regs refer to the Management Regs. You can see why
I am confused after being asked what are the 'Statutory' requirements.
Keep those answers coming.
Malcolm

Hi there,
There is a good leaflet for downloading re Risk Assessments. INDG218. Its a starting point, but doesn't appear to include pregnant women and young people. I may have missed those as I only scan read the text.

Hi,
Surely the answer is that anything with the potential to cause harm must be assessed, regardless of Regs etc?
All the best,
Pete
