Posted By Paul Foulkes Very quick question. No offence to any other hobbies. Are there any other Musical H&S professionals out there? Want to know you're not alone? 'cos I do. I play the piano - can't say where in case it offends, but I also enjoy every other musical instrument, but not at the exclusion of non-musical instruments such as stethoscopes, altimeters, statutory. Please don't email. I'll need a secretary(male or female - I'm not bothered).

Posted By Philby' First christians now musicians...what next... as in other threads.... Used to play bass guitar, very badly, and mouth organ, equally badly, in fact like someone squeezing a beever! Have roaded and 'tour managed', driven, sold the merchandise, helped in artwork exhibiton for a couple of bands...but my playing days are, some say thankfully, over...in fact I cant get mi fingers over the fretboard anymore... Oh and if theres another forum for hobbies its Tanks and MICV's...if you need to ask, you dont need to know! Philby

Posted By el nino I used to play the spoons but Little Nino is now teaching me something he calls death metal guitar. If we get a few more responses to this thread we could form a combo. El Nino

Posted By Jeffrey Watt Philby I have never compressed an amphibious mammal but I did laugh out loud as I read your beaver line. There are 5 people in the office looking at me in a concerned way...that usually happens outside the pub as I do a Patrick Moore, prone, from the pavement..."ooh Castor looks twinkly toonight the rest are a load of Pollux"....bewilderment ensues. I just play the guitar and occasionaly banjo (the occassional banjo is slightly dirtier than the normal banjo, has space for 5 strings but only ever has 3). I sing though; think of a coach load of drunk donkeys going to a football match and you're close to the harmonic possibilities. Great thread (although I can hear the letter to SHP being typed out already) Jeff PS Always use an RCD with your amps, guitars and mikes.

Posted By peter gotch Paul, Earned part of my education by singing in St Paul's Cathedral. Then expected to be in choir, choral society, orchestra and wind band (clarinet) at secondary school. Went to University and found too many other diversions, e.g. 10 pin bowling, pinball, bridge and cruciverbalism. Regards, Peter

Posted By Martin R. Bessant Sorry folks but is not Friday and non safety related threads are not really appropriate on a professional forum. The moderating team are discussing with IOSH the whole concept of ensuring this forum is used for its intended purpose only. The thread is therefore now locked and all correspondence will have to be carried out with Paul Foulkes direct by email. I am sorry if this spoils your fun but we are all professional people and there are plenty of chat forums available via the ISP's. Martin Bessant - Lead Moderator.
