Hi,
We are a multi drop op with a brand new fleet that doesn't fit the old dock.
So we have load off pallet to the bed of the van causing all sorts of problems.
New ramps yes? major work though, new dock, out of question, new vans or bring back lorries out of question.
Counterbalance? yes but several issues in busy periods.
Does anyone know of portable equipment that might solve this problem.
thanks

Just a comment
usual situation - fleet ordered without any consideration for H&Safety - could cost you lots of £ - it did cost us lots of £ to put [semi]right
you will have to struggle at this stage to get things half right and your employees may be street wise so any defence you may have, should you need one, would proberly be a poor one

Barry,
if the problem is the height of the load floor in relation to the load bay openings, then the only real solution would be to bite the bullet and alter accordingly. Surely someone realised this may be an issue when swapping from trucks to vans. What sort of vans are they, if there flat bed or other type of chassis/cab/box arrangement then you can get a scissor floor fitted.
