Posted By LTN Does anyone work in the Audio-visual field or have experience there? I'm looking for some general tips for risk assessments in this area of work, hazards checklist or anything that might help a university AV department to carry out projects and productions safely. I also get told that teaching in this field means that tutors want to show students how studios might set up productions so miles of trailing cables are the norm and too much tidiness wouldn't be realistic. How acceptable is this view? As I haven't been to any TV or filming studios I can't compare. Any help would be most appreciated.

Posted By LTN Thanks Ray, the first link looks very useful. The only guidance I had was the HSE booklet in the second link. Cheers. LTN
