Posted By Debbie S I thought I'd share my piece of positive feedback to all and which has made me remember why I wanted to go into Health & Safety in the first place . I had decided that one of my continuing improvment strategies for this year would be how the company I worked for got the message across that Safe Working Procedures do exist (they had only until this time been shown them at Induction Training level)and that we expect the workforce to adhere to them. They exist but who actually looks at them often enough. We are now running through them all again in small training groups and everyone is individually signing a copy saying that this is how they will perform their duties. I have just finished doing all our warehouse operatives who continually operate across a 24hour shift and the feedback I got was brilliant (I'd gone in prepared for a battle as no-one likes to be told how to do their job, especially by a female). I have come out feeling that I am doing something right and that they do value my opinion and got some great suggestions for future tasks. Those that I have given re-fresher training to fully realise its not all about getting from A-B but getting there safely as well. I have a smile on my face as I type.

Posted By Kieran J Duignan Write this up, in depth, and submit it to SHP. The editor appreciates good case studies (I have an article based on one in the issue coming out next month). By writing like that, you'll also have a useful CPD entry!
