Posted By Fornhelper It has been interesting over the last few weeks to see the 'opposition benches' baying for the blood of the Home Secretary (and succeeding) following some high profile failures due to poor management practices in the Home Office. Do you think our friends on the opposition benches (or Government benches for that matter) would be so vocal in their condemnation of a Chief Executive in the private sector if management failures within the company they were responsible for led to the serious injury or death of an employee. Posted By Jim Walker Depends if the said CEO has donated to party funds or not. Actually, it is my opinion that this is why they have been dragging their heels for 10 years over corporate manslaughter. If it goes through then ministers of the crown would be liable in H&S cases against public bodies.
