Posted By John Simon, Can you expand on the type of document you are refering to! I have just gone through DSEAR with an external consultant to get my company compliant but can't say I ever came across an Explosion Protection document.

Posted By Ciaran McAleenan Simon, Don't have a sample document for you but there is a useful document at; http://www.pepperl-fuchs.../doct/tdoct0745a_eng.pdf and a lengthy PowerPoint with some useful information regarding the drawing up of Explosion Protection Documents, required by European Directive 1992/92/EC; http://www.per.hqusareur.army.mil/.../ Explosive%20Atmosphere%20Protection/Training%20long%20version.ppt As far as I understand it an EPD is simply a safety controls plan that identifies all of the sources of potential explosion hazard and the controls (physical and management) to follow for safe working and the emergency reponse necessary should anything go wrong. There is also some information on HSA website; http://www.hsa.ie/publis...=938&nID=282&pID=112#EPD Best wishes Ciaran.
