Posted By johnwaterson2773 I was watching the news this morning, CBS. And they had on there exercises which you could carry out at your desk, not on your chair but an exercise ball. I wonder if this idea will cross the pond and enter our office domains. Standby for a new RA on the exercise ball.

Posted By Kieran J Duignan So, what's new about this, John
The eminent health/safety ergonomist, Steve Pheasant, promoted - and very, very carefully explained and illustrated - safe exercises at your desk 15 years ago.
Why wait for 15 years to learn about it on foreign television?

Posted By johnwaterson2773 Hi Keiran, yes I know exercising at your desk isn't new, however how many companies encouarge or issue the Reebok type exercise ball to their staff in stead of chairs. There is many exercises to carry out whilst at your desk, calf raises, squats, fist clenching for the fingers are just some. But it was jsut the way the American news channel put it over and thought it might be worth a mention.
