I am always looking for new ways in which I can move from company from being a good performing HSE company to an excellent performing company, even in the future looking at achieving a world class performance. We are a sizeable company with multiple locations and have a workforce in excess of one thousand in the UK. However, to be able to eventually achieve this, I would ask if anyone knows of a company or indeed it may be their own company who has in their opinion achieved this world class level of performance. I would be more than happy to visit with them and find out what they have done to reach this level if they were equally happy for me to do so.
Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks

Hi Jim,
Although I am not at liberty to extend an invite to any of the businesses I have worked with, I thought that I might be able to share some provocative and innovative ideas with you.
I work with companies in the capacity of a business improvement advisor. My clients comprise those organisations looking to take H&S to the next level or seek a major step change. I use a two-pronged approach to assist my clients acheive their goals and they are (1) Operational Effectiveness and (2) Strategic Differentiation.
The main principles that I apply in each case are: Comprehensive integration of the SHE function with other primary business functions; empowering shop floor staff to initiate and drive change management programmes through line and senior management; and focussing on overcoming organisational, functional and strategic barriers to implementation of SSoW.
I am currently working with a Power Generation company where I am applying these principles in accordance with a Business Management Systems diagnostics and intervention tool that would assist the company realising its business objective – which is to be in the top 2% of power generators worldwide in terms of safety and health, profitability and operational effectiveness.
Please email me direct if you wish to chew the phat..
Kind regards
Rakesh
