The whole idea is to grabs people attention and make them think of dangers in the work place and how to minimise & Control these. Not quote chapter and Verse of Acts and Regs

Posted By Jay Joshi My understanding is that the brand "IOSH" is an established brand--In fact if I am not mistaken, a branding excercise/survey of IOSH stakeholders and other influential bodies was carried out some years ago prior to the adoption of the new logo etc. Even with the granting of the Chartered Status to IOSH, it was decided not to change the "brand"!I go along with this premise that there is not much point in simply rebranding ourselves. The significant majority of us are involved in providing advice and co-ordinating/facilitating occupational Health & Ssafety by using the principles of risk management, most of us do not directly MANAGE the risks etc--That is generally the role of directors/line managers/supervisors etc. There will be some IOSH members at the highest levels who indeed may be undertaking the role of directors, but I guess they are a small number.

(Very tongue in cheek comment)-----I've gone for another new name.I think we should call ourselves the 'Best Health And Safety Stardards Compilation Body Around'-Or even better and on a more base level. 'We are the elf and safety boys/girls give us a good kicking now.Please' As you can see I'm convinced we are going the wrong way!
