Could anyone give quick answer or point in right direction
Friend rents shop of Landlord, the rest of building is rented out as flat(no impact on shop), recently some vandal has thrown a stone at the main shop window front, whilst the window has not completley collapsed it has cracked the window (spider effect)
This window is the front window and is situated on the main pathway of a busy road (lots of people waklking by)
Whose responsibility is it to have it repaired?
Shop Rental Person or owner of building? or dual responsibility
Window cost approx £750

Depends upon detailed lease agreement. (often their is a repair and fix built into the contract - this would make it the responsibility of the business.)

depends on the lease agreement section covering criminal damage, normally falls to the lease holder to repair, unlike common parts, if it was common parts then it would come under the landlord.
