Hi all,
Why we use water spray systems to protect electriacl transformers against fire (the basic rule says: DO NOT USE WATER TO PUT OUT ELECTRICITY RELATED FIRE).

Its in the manual of firemanship I believe.
Plus I think it is stadard code practice in the american NFPA.

It is an unbroken water supply that creates the problem. If the water stream is broken up into droplets as in a water spray or mist system the electrical path is broken too.
