Posted By Mint Can anyone provide me with any guidance or advice?: I have been tasked with creating a a risk management model for staff travelling in large cities, especially London: To include information and training on the actions to take in the event of a terrorist-type activity. This is not intended to cover travel to and from cities but rather movement around a city - walking, bus, tube, etc. At the moment I'm concentrating on who to tell of intended movements, who to call and where to report to in the event of terrorist activity. Should I include anything else? Has anyone carried out a similar exercise? Thanks.

Posted By J Knight Hi Mint, We're doing something similar; especially poignant for us as our Central Office is easily within earshot of Russell Square. You need to consider things like the mobile network going down (which was one of our issues on the day) and an escalation plan; i.e. when should you start panicking about people you can't contact, who is officially allowed to panic, and what should they do about it, John

Posted By Kieran J Duignan Risks to employees with partial or total blindness or hearing need particular advance planning in advance of the kind of emergency you are talking about. As their standard patterns of contingency planning may be thrown into disarray, I suggest that their conditions may require considering them in such circumstances as particular categories of 'lone' workers, in need of the kinds of support you prepare for such employees.

Posted By Mint Thanks for the replies. John, would you mind if we had a chat about this? It would be good to talk to someone else facing the same issue.
